Homemade Valentine's Day Cards

Valentine's Day Cards for the kids at Daycare
I decided to make Valentine's Day cards for the kids at M's daycare. (Did I go too far? These kids are anywhere from 7 to 18 months...). Possibly, I went overboard, but I guess I have become one of those moms. (It's ok. I am a slacker in most other ways. I just happen to like making cards).

Making them made me happy. Well, except for the gluing part. I have a bit of an aversion to too much gluing. I think we all do.

I made them using items from Stampin' Up. My cousin-in-law (is that a real thing?) is a demonstrator and roped me in to card making last summer. From kijiji, I got the 2004 "Toucan of my Love" stamp set, and then used the colours and paper that I already had to make these cute little cards.

Because M is too small to help make the cards, I held a marker in her hand so she could "write" her name on the back. Next year, or maybe even the year after, I feel like we could have a lot of fun making cards together. I think young kids love stamping... I can't wait!

  1. In my mind never too young to start sharing the love via cards, and what better occasion than Valentine's Day to do just that. Very cute cards, no doubt parents and little ones alike will love them. I am a bit of a stationery/card freak so admittedly I am bias! :) Visiting via 'WeekendBlogBlockParty" where I'm # 156

    1. Haha. Next time I see E, I'll have to have some glue on me... then he might like me better! I will send you a card one day. I promise!
